Anyone have any experience with these

smith muzzle brake

I'm going to get the family involved in shooting, and wonder if these are worth it. The less recoil for the wife and kids the better. Also it might help getting on target for the next shot.

They are great, no timing, no crush washer just follow the directions.

The SEI Vortex requires no timing. The Iron Brake does.

I've been using one for over fifteen years. There will still be some recoil straight back, but it stabilizes the muzzle really well. It's not much louder than an A2 FH.

Excellent brake.  I started with one on my Poly M14S and loved it.  Now running one on one of my ARs.  No muzzle climb and lessens felt recoil significantly.
