| Does anyone here use snap caps with their AR's if you plan on doing a lot of dry firing? |
| I use them to check for trigger control by putting them in the mag somewhere and watching the shooter's reaction when it comes up. It gives away flinch, jerking, and poor follow through. Teamed with a laser it tells even more of what a shooter is doing shot to shot. |

Didn't really think so. But my unit has some sort of shooting competition at the end of August and I want to get in a lot of practice between now and then, which means a whole lot of dry fire practice. I'll probably even take my RRA NM trigger out and put the conventional trigger back in. Don't want to practice with the two stage and then compete with a standard type trigger. |
Good call on the trigger also. |
| I use them. They are probably unnecessary. I like the fact it is a way of checking the chamber because you are intentionally putting something in the chamber that is not a live round. Then again, some idiot could accidentally put a live round in the chamber thinking it is a snap cap. |
