I'm looking for some soft cases. I've used several in the past, but the zippers always give out. I'm looking at Eagle and Galati in particular. I like the 1000 denier nylon and the closed cell foam.
My main concern is the zippers. Does anyone know if either of these have a big heavy duty zipper like an M65 field jacket? I know they're YKK zippers, but I've had the smaller YKKs break, I want something with the big zipper. I'm looking at the fitted "tactical" cases, not the discreet, but I think the materials are the same. Something like these: http://www.galatiinternational.com/product/3508XT.html http://www.eagleindustries.com/products/detail.aspx?id=47 Does anyone know what size zipper either of these cases uses? Or do you know of another model of similar/better quality? Thanks. |
| I have a LaRue Tactical Covert Case. I really like it. I have no expirence with any of those other cases though. The LaRue case is made to store your rifle broken down into the upper and lower half. It is made in the USA and is well worth the money in my opinion. |

I haven't used those cases but I have a Boyt Harness rectangular tactical rifle case:
Boyt Harness case I've had it for about 5 years and it's holding up well. The zippers are very stout. |
| Condor Double Rifle Case just got mine and it seems like a really well made bag |

I need something this size to hold rifle with optic and mag. Can't spend that much though. Anyone know of a cheaper version? |
