Sons birthday is in a few months. He'll be 11. Found a few parts on EE that I thought would be his size. tried to keep it light. Came in at 6lb 3oz.
Correction , 1st ar. Grandad gave him a 22 last year.

damn man, that is a hell of a rifle for a 11 year old. My boy got a Weatherby .243 when he was nine , when he was ten he shot his first bear, right through the heart. Killed a small buck the same season. Congrats, you must be a great dad.

I remember getting a Ruger 10/22 stock on ebay and cutting it down to size for my son's first rifle. Kept the original stock intact put it back on when he got older and sold the cut down stock on ebay again.

He's going to be 26 in June and man he loves shooting and reloading.

Your going to have a heck of a hunting/shooting partner there roadflare...
