Well for $369 shipped I took the plunge and am now regretting it. Took it out last week with steel cases and jammed every round. Had to pry the bolt back so I put it up. This week cleaned and lubed it and tried brass and got two rounds before it jammed up. Even liberally lubed the bcg feels rough. It also nails the feed lips on half my new magazines. I'm going to swap the bcg and see if that alleviates the issue but never again. I'm calling them tomorrow to let them know about the misfortune I've had with this hunk of junk.

Sorry to hear about this, i was afraid this might happen. I would like to see if it is an isolated case or if this is to be the norm with Sota.

Never but anything from a company that doesn't list their address on their website.

If you have an address for them,. I will be in the Cities next week and do a drive by to see what they look like.

The brass I used today was spec 5.56. The pmag fed but then the round would jam. I had a couple of bushmaster mags that the bolt would nail the feed lips. I used them in a factory RRA and they ran smooth. I'm going to call them but am also going to swap the bcg and see what happens. Very frustrating.

I placed my order with them last night....  I hope its just an isolated incident and that they can solve your issue. Every other review has been good as far as I can tell.

I emailed them yesterday but no response. I got busy at work and didn't get a chance to call. When I got off swapped the BCG out with a RRA and ran brass smoothly and had 1 fte with steel cased and 3 short strokes where it didn't load the next round. So still with the $369 for the upper and $125 for a new BCG I still would have been better off getting a better upper. No more budget builds for me.

From a business card I got at a local gun show they were at.

I saw there uppers at the show and they look to be very nice.  I was at the show when it started on a Sat morning and they had quite a few uppers.  Late on Sunday they only had one left.  So lots of people were buying them.  I have never fired one or seen one fire so I can not comment on that.
