I'm looking to put together a maintenance/spare parts kit for my BCM Recce 16. One of the most needed spares, according to most reports, is a spare bolt or complete BCG.
I would prefer to get a spare BCM bolt/carrier, but they seem to always be out of stock.

To the point-which makers produce the higher quality bolts/BCGs?

A  LMT BCG would be a perfectly fine if the BCM is not available. They are equal in specs and quality IMHO.I actually prefer a LMT bolt due to the relieved lug root design so that is what I primarily purchase for all my AR's anyway.
As a side note the LMT BCG comes with a large spool M16 firing pin rather than a small spool AR15 type, if that matters to you....does to me....but I nit pick.
All that said a spare bolt is probably all you need, but I think its more economical to buy the whole BCG rather than the individual parts to make a field kit.
By the way, last time I looked DSG Arms had the LMT FA BCG's in stock for $129.00.
