I got a qustion for anyone who might have run into this problem, I recently installed a 11 inch Troy TRX standard battle rail  on my AR and when I got to installing the supplied barrel nut this is where my problem started.  I torqued to to 30ft lbs then to line up further for the gas tube... it torqued to a hair more than 60 ft lbs.  Now in the specs for Troy's barrel nut, they say to NOT exceed 60 ft lbs.  I'm living on the edge on this one and I have not fired it yet.  Has anyone run into this before???

Did you torque it, then loosen it, then re-torque it a few times?  If not, you may find that after a couple times it gets to where you want it with less torque.  However, right now you are within their recommended spec, even though on the high end.

Yeah I did torque it a couple of times... I was getting frustrated every time I tried to get it to line up I would get the same result.  I think I'm fine but sometimes these types of problems make you think twice.
