when you're trying to use a Battlecloth pouch to hold your NFA forms.

I'm finishing my SBR and wanted to carry a copy of my NFA form on the sling in a Battlecloth form pouch.  The only problem is, the Specter SOP sling doesn't have any loose ends I can disassemble to slide the pouch onto the sling.

Any ideas from the peanut gallery?  This one has me beat.

why not keep the copies in the car, gun case or shooting bag?

Yeah, I guess, but I was hoping to keep one actually on the gun.  That's about the only way that I could keep from losing it...

Get a pistol grip with a trap door. or you could get one of those cases you get for your name that you put on your luggage.

Call or email them, explain what you need to do, and most likely, they'll professionally modify it for you free or for a small fee.  Jeff Orchard and the bunch at Specter are good people.

A VFG, PG, or stock with a compartment would offer much more weather resistance than a pouch on a sling.  That's the direction I'd go.

+1.  If you don't have much else inside your VFG (like a TD), then there'll be space for a rolled up document.  It's watertight, and won't get smooshed like if you stick it inside a sling.

Thanks for the replies!

Because I don't use a vertical foregrip, I like the idea of inside the pistol grip.  Anyone have any ideas of how I can seal the bottom of the pistol grip, or of any pistol grips that are the exact dimensions of the A2 grip?  I sold one I owned years ago because it was larger than standard on the bottom, to accomodate the trapdoor.

It's not pretty, but the grip plug is cheap from Fulton. http://www.fulton-armory.com/M6Parts2.htm

About 75% down the page. You could also use some strips of tire inner tube to pack the grip then a Hand-all or more inner tube around the grip to secure it.
