Can anyone tell me about this company -Spikes Tactical - that builds AR rifles & pistols? How good is the work? Anyone have a 9mm from them?  http://www.spikestactical.com/Pistols.htm

Spikes is good people.  Their builds are superior as is their gunsmith shop.  Excellent products at fair prices.  Can't go wrong with them at all.

Are they from your neck of the woods???

Have two lowers from them, that made for nice builds.  Has some very nice quality stuff that I have seen at the gun shows.  Good guy to deal with, (even at a gun show, had by far the best deals for the quality.)

Spike's stuff is good to go.
I have one of their carbine lowers on a LW carbineand it works 100% as well as matches the Colt upper's finish.

Spike's is good people!!!

I have 2 builds with their lowers and other parts. They also have great smith's in their shop. Knowledgeable, great prices, and friendly.

How much do their lowers cost and who makes them?

I just looked at some of their stuff at a gun show and as these guys are saying they have good stuff at good prices. Their lowers are made by LAR and are very nice. $100 and they even have several nice laser engraved logos such as a remember 911 and a punisher skull logo.

Spike's was by far the cheapest guy at the gun show.  I need to go by his shop to pick up more stuff.

Mike over at Spike's Tactical (owner) is a great man to deal with. I have one of his carbines and I have never had a single problem with them.

Can't get any better than him price-wise too. The Punisher Skull and the REMEMBER 9-11 logo, I made those for him using Photoshop CS along with some other designs he has on his receivers. Don't believe me? Ask him.

Did you do the INFIDEL logo too?  It's great.  Had to have one with the shirt to match.  They told me they could do any logo.

Spike is a great guy, i know him personally. He sells a great product for a fair price and he stands behind it as well.

I sure did

I have made almost every logo he has on them, except for the Calico Jack logo, he had that one made before I did his other designs; I think the "Remember 9-11" logo was my best logo design so far.

He's a great man to work with; I will get a lower from him for my A1 Retro Project next week.

I'd like to see a pic of the Calico Jack lower Is it the same as on the hat ?
I'm leaning towards a Spikes for my newest build.

I live in Jacksonville, Florida and was wondering if there were any good dealers like Spikes in my neck of the woods?

The "INFIDEL" logo would have been cool if it didn't say INFIDEL below it.

I would like one also. I mean Calico Jack Lower.

I have n Infidel lower in the safe right now, my CMMG barrel will be here today and my CTR hopefully tomorrow. If it does arrive on time, I'm building the whole rifle Saturday. I'll post detailed pics. The lower seems to be great quality, made by LAR.

There's a Gun Show at the Jacksonville Fairgrounds on February 3rd and 4th; the show hours are Sat 9-5 Sun 10-5 and the entry fee is $7. Mike always goes to the shows, so chances are you'll see him there as well.

He sells the stripped lowers for $100 and the assembled ones for $150, plus he has complete rifles, rifle uppers and has guys on his tables that can slap a rifle up for you.

Trust me, you can't go wrong here. He's your guy.

I picked up a couple lowers from them this past weekend as well.  Great guys to talk to and deal with.  They fit my BM upper nicely.  The color seems to match pretty good as well.  These will be my first builds one SBR and one M4gery.

I second that question.

How about custom model and/or serial numbers?

Does he have an image archive?

I only asked about the Calico Jack, he told me 100 + 5 for shipping.
Don't know about an image archive, or custom #'s
Go to his website and drop him an email. He answered me that night.

That looks like paint to me. If it was laser engraved wouldn't it appear silver? His price leads me to believe it's paint as well but maybe it's just the photo.

I don't know, he told me they are laser engraved and it won't ever fade.

Trust me; I know his laser engraver and I've seen him doing the work, so I'm pretty certain that is not paint.

The lower you have was requested by my fire fighter friend, He gave mike the Logo he wanted laser engraved and Mike had it made for him. Mike took it to the show for display and everyone one and there brother wanted one so Mike made it one of his items he keeps in stock. That just goes to show you how cool Mike really is.

I saw a post about ar15 pistols ,slamming gunsmoke enterprises. If you look underneath
the post theres a responce and a add by spikes tactical. Now one can aurgue who posted it ,but its the spike gang, again ganging up on gunsmoke. Why? becauce they are in direct competition with spike at the florida gunshows.Did you guys know that Ed Basile owner of gunsmoke helped inovate the pistol with his buffer system and porting in the early 80's.
Do you guys realize how long gunsmoke has been around? 30 years!!!!!!
Do you know how long spike has been around???? 2-3 years.gunsmokes claim to fame is not only the above but 66 of there ar15s are being used by orlando police dept and countless others. Fact: Did you know that through very reliable sources and people who will testify to this, that spike hung around gunsmokes gunshow tables for over a year to learn everything he could....at every gunshow to start his own business! when i asked spike about the posts on this site about gunsmoke......he said hes not involved with ar15.com in anyway.

Should Gunsmoke Enterprises be included in this list of manufacturers/dealers? I found them through this thread, placed an order and later learned they have a horrible reputation. Unfortunately I ended up being burned by them too, I was sold a fake Vortex Flash Hider.

Buyer beware!
