I am thinking about getting a Spikes kit for a .22 build as I have talked myself out of the GSG5 for now in favor of a AR plinker.

Has anyone had any problems with parts or mags breaking? I noticed the full size mags are just plastic. Also I don't know much about these kits as someone out of the blue recomended them to me. Is there any replacement parts for the Spikes upper?

So everyone convince me cause I want a nice feeling and looking plinker

Spikes will have his own replacement parts. He's making his own bolts. BDM mags are tough and reliable. They also have replacement parts. Both companies have great customer service. You won't go wrong.

So in otherwords these are a reliable kit?

I guess I just need to decide if I want to build my LMT lower and use the upper on it or just build a dedicated .22 completly with the Spikes lower.

Any problems with using stardard lower parts kits?

Thanks!

A standard LPK will be fine.
