This may be a stupid question, but I wanted to ask before I cut the foam an screwed things up.  I just ordered replacement foam for my Starlight Case since it came with a plastic tray for the rifle.  What I received is 2 pieces of thick foam (maybe an inch or so) and 2 thin pieces of foam (maybe a quarter inch).  I wanted to clarify what I'm supposed to cut.  Do I layer (from the bottom up) thin, thick, thin, thick?  And if so, do I just cut 1 thick layer?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Again, I'm sorry if this sounds like a stupid question, but I've never owned a case like this and I want to get it right the first time.  Thanks.

Youve got it right. thin on bottom thick then thin and thick. Its so you can layer weapons without them touching the case or each other.

If you have a deep freeze put the foam (thick pieces)  in there for a half hour or so make your outline and use an electric carving knife like you would carve the turkey at Thanksgiving with.

Hope this helps
