Im mostly curious. These seem to be unicorns, maybe for good reasons. ANYONE own/ed, handled, or otherwise had experience with one? I'm real curious to know anything about them besides what their marketing says.
Thanks. |

They're probably unicorns because they're $4000. I would love to own one, but not at that price.
And yeah, they are a tad heavy... they've got another 5 ounces on the Elcan SpecterDR or 2 ounces more than EOTech 55x + G33 combo. But what they do is pretty awesome. |

Thanks guys. Yeah. Very pricy and heavy. Just what I was thinking. I'm curious to know how well it actually works.
Zeiss had an obscenely expensive hunting optic that seemed to work the same way. And there was a big, clunky thing that Bushnell marketed. I've read that DARPA is working on miniaturizing the concept. Reportedly they've even come up with some magic where an optic can sense and factor in wind speed. True, long-range point-and-shoot, if they can pull it off. They probably will. |
