[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Stock question

I want to buy the magpul CTR collapsible stock but do I have to buy the kit that comes with it? I have a Rock River completed lower that has a collapsible stock on it but cant seem to get just the stock out without twisting the whole kit off with it. Any pointers on how to get it off?

Pull down on the level that you squeeze to collapse the stock. Then it should slide right off the buffer tube.

make sure you know if it is mil spec or commercial

+1 on that. Magpul makes the CTR in both diameters.

whats the differ between the mil spec and commercial.....???? do i have to be specific my I get mine for my Rock River?

Rock River Arms uses commercial receiver extensions.
