The buffer tube will determine whether you need a mil-spec or commercial stock.
Commercial tubes have a larger outside diameter. The threads are cut into the tube rather than rolled on as they are on a mil-spec tube. Both have the same inside diameter and will use the same buffers and springs. I use mil-spec tubes for no other reason than there are more stock choices. |
