A huge amount of the anodized black was worn right off it and it made many a trip bouncing down stairs or onto cement floors with nary a bobble. If all you have to do is loosen and tighten the end cap then you need to take the cap off, use alcohol, and clean off the threads so the cap and body make better contact. That isn't an end cap issue, it's maintenance. |

| Broke my 5th TLR tailcap yesterday. Absolute trash. They're fine if you're just throwing a light on it to tick a box. I wouldn't trust them for serious use. Their warranty is good however... maybe good sacrificial light for force on force since if it gets shot out with sims they'll replace it. |

My duty rifle came with a Streamlight Protac weapon light. The tail cap tape switch would randomly float around during recoil and turn off and then back on. Th8s is a known issue and they changed tailcaps. I got one of the adapter tailcaps made by arisaka and am running an SF tailcap and switch now. |
| I found stream light is overpriced, chinese junk. You can get much brighter, more dependable lights made from china. Or you can make the ultimate sacrifice and buy Sure Fire manufactured and assembled in the US except for the L E D. |

Their newest TLR pistol light is $220. You can regularly get a X300 for $220-$250 these days. You can get a Cloud EPL for $200. It’s hard to justify paying that close to US made light prices. Modlite and Cloud also both have Chinese made copies of their lights they sell for cheaper than Streamlights similar performing lights. On occasion, you can get a Surefire Scout for $240 too. The price is the only thing justifying getting a Chinese light over a US made example, and Streamlight is equal or very close to US pricing now. |

PSA, Bereli, AR15Discounts, they all regularly run sales of sub $250 Surefire’s. Primary Arms and PSA both have X300’s for $270 right now, which is the highest sale price they’ve had on them in years. The China Streamlight is only $50 less. |
