I currently use a M3 on my duty pistol. I finally broke down and bought my Bushmaster M4A3. I was thinking about mounting the M3 under the handguard. Does anyone use this set up? If so do you like it? And can you post some pics? Thanks

Mount it on the sid of the hand guard so you can operate it with your pointer finger.

Yes it works.

I much prefer a dedicated Surefire forend, but for the price the M3s do quite well.  I have several and they have never given me any trouble.

Can you get a pressure switch tailcap for the M3. Also, my M3 fits great on my pistol but is a little sloppy on my Midwest Ind. forearm, any advice or suggestions?

You can get a pressure switch for it. I mounted a TLR2 on my M4 on a MI free float and love it. Light wieght and easy on and off. I use a vert grip and mount it under.

I put one on my AR, mounted it under the handguard and with a VFG I can use the index finger to hit the switch.  I've had close to 1K rounds with batteries in it testing it out and no problems so far.  Lights up well to 100yds and would allow you to distinguish animal/veggie/mineral out to 300yds.

What I like about it is that it's light weight, compact and plenty of light for indoors should the need (hopefully never) arise.

I've got an M-3X on the right side of the forend.  Very natural and easy to manipulate with one finger and it doesn't interfere wtih anything.
Quite bright, too.  And it fits right on my G17.  A really nice light.

Personal Opinion Only:  I don't like the pressure switch--too many things to tangle or go wrong.  Using the finger on these little lights works very well and is much less damage-prone.
