My favorite handlheld tactical light is the Streamlight NF-2 with the large grip ring. The current LED version has a dismal output of 47 lumens. This is not much compared to the newer lights and upgrades coming out for Surefire. Does anyone make an upgrade from the current 1 watt LED to a brighter model? I contacted Streamlight today and a phone monkey said there are no current plans to upgrade and to watch the web site in the future. This is contrary to an e-mail I sent them a few months back. A company rep said they are working on new high quality LED models but offered no more specifics. Would the 80 lumen LED from the weapon light drop into a handheld NF-2 led if I ordered the parts? Any help would be appreciated. mk |
