Which Streamlights are gtg for replacing the tail cap and adding a pressure switch?
EYA: I think the Polytac would be a great cheap alternative for a weapon light... to be used with a pressure switch it would require replacing the tailcap with one of Surefire's. I remember reading where some guys had done this at some point but have failed to produce search results |

If you're talking about the TLR-1/2(s) then there is a battery door option that will allow the connection of the 69132 tape switch (I have), and straight cord/coiled model which I think are 69134 and 35. Works very well. I have that setup on my AR pistol and it works ambi also as I have the light and pressure pad at 12 o'clock. http://i320.photobucket.com/albums/nn346/gunguyshots/ARpistolgunguyshots.jpg I do some part time work at a Law Enforcement supply store and we have both of those in stock. I was thinking more towards a setup that would be cost effective. (trunk gun) The Polytac would be great for this purpose ($38.99 retail), but I would just need to find a pressure switch that works. |

If you get a Streamlight Polytac LED, you can fit a pressure switch tailcap designed for the SureFire 6P, Z2, G2/3, etc. series. The threads are the same. The Polytac LED is also a very good light for the money at 120 lumens. I can't find one on Surefire's website. What company makes one? I saw one on Cheaper than Dirt but the reviews were horrible. Any ideas? Ideally, I would want a Polytac ($38ish) with a pressure switch kit ($???) and a decent 1" flashlight mount. Thanks, John |

So we're saying that one of these will work on a streamlight polytac led?
Surefire tailcap |

bump Is Surefire's tailcap/pressure switch the best option? Kinda hard to cough up $100 for a pressure switch/tailcap |
