Ok guys so I have searched high and low before posting this and I cannot find an answer to my question, excuse the newb question.

I purchased a stripped carrier, straight bare bones carrier, I purchased all the other parts I need to make this a complete functional BCG.

My question is....is there any thread or youtube video I can watch/read that will show me how to properly assemble this, or can anyone explain it to me.

Thanks in Advance.

Thank you for the link but I know how to "field strip" an AR BCG that is not a problem.

My problem is I have a completely bare bones carrier w/o gas key or anything, everything is in seperate bags...the things i'm mainly asking about are the Gas rings that go on the bolt and is it possible for me to stake the gas key myself or should this be done by a professional?

As far as the staking goes, I'd let somebody who has experience do it. It's possible for any of us to slap the corner of a screwdriver over the screwhead and notch it, but it may not be as pretty as a gunsmith or experienced AR builder could do it.

Here is a nice tool for staking.

There is a more expensive one and a cheaper one. If you plan on building a few rifles it can pay for it self. the cost of a few trips to a gunsmith d to have it done for you could pay for it.
