I was starting to clean my AR and I guess the patch is too big and got stuck just past the chamber.  I am using an Otis cable to clean.  What should I do right now I have sprayed some cleaner to soak the patch and maybe let it pull through.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Another stuck Otis patch thread.

Don't know why anyone still uses the Otis system.

Can you unscrew the cable from the patch puller and push it out into the chamber with a solid cleaning rod?
Don't try to pull it through, you'll just end up getting it stuck half way down the bore when the cable breaks.

One patch for different bore diameters seems like a really bad idea.

Cleaning rod or a small wooden dowl from Home depot or lowes. This is assuming you do not have access to a cleaning rod. Clenaing rod would be your best bet. Tap lightly until the obstruction pushes out. Under no circumstance would you ever shoot any weapon with a bore or chamber obstruction. I understand the responding post was a joke but like you we all were noobs at one point.

Otis makes large all-purpose patches, and smaller ones for .223 Remington and .22s.  Hope you were using the smaller one for your AR15 barrel.

My local gun store ran out of Otis patches and I used a larger one by mistake.  I want to thank all of you for your input, except for shooting it out.
