| Is there a visual way to look at a bore or chamber and know if it's chromed versus unchromed? |

if the bore is chrome lined, it'll look "white", like chrome. Basically looks like the inside is chrome plated (but not necessarily shiney). AR15s generally have a matte chrome look, where as some other rifles such as the SKS have a polished look. Usually it's pretty easy to tell, since chrome is distinquishly whiter than "in-the-white" steel. |
