A friend that I haven't seen in a few months stopped by today.  He has an AR that he hardly shoots.  One of the first things I asked him is if he still had it.  He says nope, just sold it (I didn't ask how long ago) to a pawn shop for $400 bucks.

Damn!  I've offered him $500 bucks before.  I don't know why he didn't call me.  I think it was an Olympic Arms w/20" barrel.

O'well, I'll be on the look out for a deal at the gun show comming up.

I have a RRA 20" std H-bar I'll sell you for $725.  Never fired, never taken out of safe.

He probably didn't get anywhere near $400 from a pawn shop . More like $200 max.

Yep. Pawning has the same how much/many rules as the "how many people have you slept with" rules. Guys will double what they really got, and women will cut what they got in half (or more depending on if it was your stuff).
