I posted this thread a bit back. Well anyway I shot the upper today and it was pretty dang reliable! Had two of those failure to ejects where the case is sticking halfway out the side of the BCG (so easy to clear it doesn't even bother me). Anyhoo although I did run a brush through a couple times I forgot about the whole running it in the drill thing, so I'll be doing that tomorrow when I clean it.
Accuracy at first was off. It would shoot ok and then start spitting rounds here and there but as I got closer to the 100 round mark, the accuracy tightened up a lot. I only shot windchester super x and winchester subsonic, the sub getting a little better groups. The sub shot quite a bit lower than the regular subsonic at 100, but luckily it lined up perfectly with the first BDC dot below my scope's reticle!! Anyway really happy with it considering I've had this spikes conversion kit for a very long time and I spent well under $200 for the rest of the upper parts! Anyway here she is on one of my lowers I share between 5.56 and 7.62x39.

Nice. I really like mine. They are just too fun to shoot. You mentioned in your other thread that it was a Velocity 22 barrel. I did a google search and couldn't find anything. Can you share a link to these barrels? Quoted:

if you run into feeding problems, look at using a SW15-22 magazine, and a Boonie Packer Better Mag adapter As far as mags these have been good. Haven't had any feeding issues, just those few fails to extract. |

THe really nice thing about the boonie mag adapter is being able to use the cheaper 15-22 mags.
Cost wise, between the adapter and the mags when compared to the black dog mags, it's probably a wash, but 15-22 mags are widely available for prices as low as 13 bucks a pop. |
