Well, I'm starting my mk12 build soon. I was able to get a deal on a stag complete lower from a friend, just need to pick it up from his house in phoenix.
Now, its time for the 18" rifle upper. I was thinking CMMG. I don't wanna spend more then 750 on the upper itself (aside from everything else). I'm just worried for the wait time. Any suggestions other then CMMG? I would just buy a complete ACDO mod 0 upper but I can't afford the whole upper all at one time. or I was just going to buy an acog ta01nsn for my current ar, but i might as well get the 2nd one done while i still can. |

If money were no object, then I'd get at least a Noveske. Otherwise the CMMG will work, but don't expect magnificent groups with it. With a $750 budget, you will ok with the CMMG, but You'll be cutting it close. I'd go 850 if there is a big enough difference. |

Get a WOA barrel.
Also its not a MOD 0 if it doesnot have all the parts. A MOD 0 is NOT cheap to build. It would be easier to make a MOD 1 clone with out using the expensive KAC parts and still get the same basic look. You cant copy a MOD 0 with other parts. You can NOT build any mk12 upper for 850.00. Maybe a Recce but not a mk12. Also look into the Sabre Defense 18in barrels. PKfirearms used to sell a 18in Sabre barrel, upper reciver and 12 or 13.5 troy rail for about 750 with out BC/CH |

I'm just buying the complete rifle now, to buy peice for peice as I go. After the upper comes the PRI gen III free float forearm, then the ARMS PEQ rail, and PRI front sight, then the OPS brake/collar and so on. |
