So, I am wanting to set up a G35 with a light(have never had a mounted light on a pistol)

I was originally gonna go with a TLR 1, but there is not QD. I like the M3x my brother has on his G22, but I really like the idea of having an LED.

From what I under stand the X300 surefire throws like an incandescent, even though it is LED. Is it worth $230? I want something tough, cause this thing is gonna get knocked around a bit(unfortunately) and I don't wanna worry about breaking bulbs.

IMHO, The X300 is the BEST, BRIGHTEST and TOUGHEST of all the pistol lights in it's class. It's worth every penny b/c it will withstand the everyday duty abuse without fail.

When I bought my HK P30, the X300 came home with me. I was that impressed.

Much brighter than my X200B which I considered to be very bright.

The X300 is my favorite.

Before I bought it I was going to keep my X200's,
but after comparing them side by side I sold them.

I hope Surefire puts the same led into a hand held light.

I have a x200 and it is bright...not as much as the x300 but one thing fore sure these little babies are built tough. You will understand as soon as you put a hand to one of them.

I'm also planning on getting one for my G35. Contemplating one for my HD AR as well. Anyone have pics of one on an AR? I've heard people mention it, but have not seen it.

I HAVE A X200 & X300. THE X300 IS BRIGHT AS HEVEN. ALMOST TOO BRIGHT.  IF YOU WAKE UP FROM A DEEP SLEEP AND NEED TO USE IT IN A WHITE BEDROOM. IT MADE ME SQUINT. ME, AND I WAS THE SHOOTER! SO I BOUGHT A X200 AND PUT THE X300 ON MY RIFLE. GREAT INVESTMENT. MADE IN USA!

I run a X200B on my nightstand gun, I won't replace it with a X300.  The X200B is perfect for a handgun.  I do have a X300 on my carbine, it's works great as a long gun weaponlight.

For indoors, I prefer the broad beam of the X200B, which I also have on my house gun.

I agree completely with this.

To add to this post, I use the Rail Lock setup as it is like a semi-permenant mount to my firearm (at the moment on my G19).  It is a bit more positive mount and when I want to remove it, I just have to loosen the actuator screw head and open the rail latch lock.

Well, this thread just cost me a few hundred bucks!  I ordered an x300 nad LaRue mount.

Got any pics? I'm curious to see how people are mounting this.
