Does anybody have any experience with these on ARs and how do they hold up? I know this is not a weapon light, but am curious if it still works ok.

Also, what mount do you use for it?  I'd like to use a mount that's easily removable.

I don't know about the standard G2L seems a little dim for my tastes but for the mount you can go wrong with the new Vltor off-set scout mount, very very sturdy and not too pricey.

Does this mount allow the light to swivel up and down?  It looks from the picture like it might.

I can't decide if I want an offset mount or not, The offset won't allow the rifle to be rested on the handguards but rather on the light itself, correct?  That's why I'm wondering if this particular mount allows the light to swivel up to allow bench shots.

We started using them on our team. so far no issues. About a year now. We just use a standard quick release GG&G mount. My only complaint with the mount is that it sticks straight out from the forend (not bad if you have larger than average hands, but its fine with a pigtail). on an M4 we've had no problems. I think the batteries would be the issue (on a shotgun for example). Hope that helps.

I use a 6P Defender with a Malcoff M60 led conversion head.  Givs me 230 lumens.  Have it mounted in a VLTOR which works very well.  I have tried several variations from Surefire dedicated weapon lights but this simple setup works the best for me.  I do not need a tape switch to work the light.
