Has anyone tried this on their AR? I'm thinking of buying a Gear Sector e-series offset mount. It comes on High first (500 lumens) and then low on the second press or click. And the Ultra models have a spring on the head. I want to know if I can rely on the user interface to work with recoil (and not switch to low or anything)? Thanks.

It's a Surefire, I wouldn't worry about it's ability to handle recoil/shock. However, I don't like the idea of  more than one mode of illumination per switch on a weapon for the simple reason that a weaponlight may need to be quickly flashed on and off, and that would switch illumination modes on the light you mention.

I agree, I'd like to have a single output 500 lumen conversion head for my E2D light that's already on my AR.

Ok that was kinda what I was thinking. At least it would work if I needed to use it though.

I've got two separate rifles with SF E2D lights. Both have been used extensively and neither have failed. They are actually my favorite for weapon lights.
