Did Surefire ever go by Laser Products Corp? I've got an older M622 no-constant-on 6V foreend for a Mossbert 500A. It came in a Surefire box, and it definitely LOOKS like the surefire foreend, but Laser Products Corp is stamped in one side of the plastic, and the squirty flower laser symbol with LPC is stamped in the other side. Just curious, mainly. |

Non Official: I believe (this is most cetainly an abridged version), Laser Products initially started with the intention of developing aiming lasers as lasers were the companies strong suit. For several reasons, they quickly changed directions and developed the ground-breaking "SureFire 6P" model flashlight. This product took off as was/is very successful and folks started calling everything Laser Products made "SureFire's". It became the brand & then the company was restructured/named SureFire LLC a few years ago. |
