Okay...I'm looking for a light system for my AR and from what I've read, Surefire makes one hell of a light. However, WHAT could be the reason for the price of these things? They're over half of what I paid for my AR-15 for God's sake!how Thanks! |

you are paying for quality of construction, engineering and NAME. That said they make great stuff......you can find GREAT deals on the EE for M951's, M961's....200-250.00 will get you a light that is recoil ready and works great. If you will never move it from the 223/556 AR then you should be good...if you put it on a 308, 12 ga, or other heavier gun then you will not do well with the G2 set up. Heavy recoilers need shock isolation for the bulb atleast (unless you go LED) and and shock isolation for the batteries depending on your system. G2's have neither Mark |
