I have been waiting for the rifle length Alostyr Picatinny hanguards which have been not available - like - forever
So I'm cruising skd and they have the Surefire M82 Triangular Interface Picatinny Forend on close out for $170 out the door.  I bought the Surefire guards without consulting the hive mind - YIKES!
Does anyone have the Surefire forend?  Are they gtg?  How'd I do on price?

Don't ask a question if you won't like the answer.  I paid $135 for my NIB M82 rail system.  That said, it's a very good non-free float rail system.  Don't overtighten the set screws, and be sure to use the Lock-tite.  I've used their M73 and M82, and neither has ever caused any issues.

You can get KAC M5's on the EE for cheaper than that.

eta:  Surefire handguards are solid.  The only thing I didn't like about them was that they weren't level with the upper receiver.

Thanks for the replies.  I'll give a report once I get the buggers installed.
