I just received a 2010 Surefire catalog in with my order from BCM (I think they are just trying to get rid of their old brochures) and saw the RAID in it.  Anyone know what happened to these things? Are they going to sell them this year or did they scratch the project altogether? I haven’t been able to find any information about them on Surefire’s website and a Google search make it seem like everyone was expecting them to come out more than 6 months ago.

In my 2011 catalog, they got rid of all the models except the dual use visible light and infrared model. The only one I was remotely interested in was the 350 lumen model. The design was primarily meant to be used with a tape switch, which was kind of a fail to me also.

SF likes to put vaporware in their annual catalogs.  They also like to release stuff mid-year that never was shown in a catalog.

Unless you can go to a large SF dealer and hold it in your hands, I wouldn't count on it being out.

I am fortunate enough to have a full-line SF dealer locally.  Even get to try that "beast" HID light or whatever it was that costs like $2,000.   Light that up in a ritzy mall in CT, whoooboy!

Yeah that’s the same one I had my eye on.... I guess it is too good to be true.  Looking at every other Surefire Weapon light (like the Scout and X300) I noticed that they only go up to 200 lumens, I think Surefire just couldn’t deliver on the 350 they had hoped... maybe one day they will get there in the form of a small weapons light but until then I can only dream.
