I'm looking to pick up one of these for Christmas but I'm starting to think I'm dyslexic. www.surefire.com/maxexp/main/co_disp/displ/carfnbr/266/sesent/00 I see 2 of each model there, and the descriptions seem to say the same thing 225 lumens with a high output lamp. My questions are, this is going on my AR-10A4 Carbine: 1. Does the larger lamp basically just give you a larger surface area of light (M900A and M910A)? 2. What in the heck is the difference between the two smaller lamp VFGs? 3. What would you recommend to me? |
|
The M900A & M910A feature the std. 1.6" bezel and have both 125 & 225 lumens lamps which can push on out to 100-120+ yds. The AB variants feature the 2.5" turbohead bezel which will increase the beam's throw (range) though it does have a reduced flood pattern. The lamp outputs are rated the same but the turbohead will increase your range by approx. 25-30%. (130-150+ yds.) |
So what are the differences between the 900A and 910A? |
Thanks Size that helped me between the AB and A, now I just need to figure out the difference between 900 A and 910 A I've read the specs and can't find anything different. |
From the surefire website,
They really need to add some sort of chart to their site so you can keep track of all of the minor variances. Their descriptions are a bit lacking. For the sake of my own curiosity, can the Larue throw-lever mount be added to both? |
Thanks man, didn't see it ![]() So which is better the ARMS or the dual thumbscrew as far as stability and etc? |
The dual thumbscrew mount offers more bearing surface over the rail assembly so I tend to lean towards it but you should periodically check to make sure the thumbscrews don't loosen any. |
I appreciate your help Bright, I see you're a dealer do you stock the M910A? and for how much? I'd love to be a customer for your help. |
