Okay, I must be stupid or something, but I can't seem to get my XM tailcap put on so that the pushbutton is below the tape switch plug.  When I have the light installed on my rail, I can't reach the button because it's above the plug.  I've taken the cap off and tried to screw it back on so that the button is at the bottom but I've had no luck.  It always threads on to the exact same position.  If I tighten it, then back it off so the button is at the bottom, the light won't activate because it's locked out.  Can anyone shed some light on this.  [>:/]

Screw the cap on, grap the black portion and keep on turning clockwise. The black part containing the button can rotate independently of the metal part.

Then call Surefire and they will fix it.

Unless you somehow got a fake XM tailcap.

Definitely not a fake tailcap.  I bought it from a reputable dealer right after the XM tailcaps were introduced.  Maybe the older style is different that newer ones.
