I have an M961XM07 that I purchased NIB a while back.  It has been mounted on my rifle for a while now, but I only recently got to the range at night to try it out.  Upon firing the rifle (AR), I quickly noticed that the light would flicker off, then back on again under recoil.  I tried it with the push-button clicked 'on' (and the tape-switch disconnected) and it still does it.  I switched bulbs and batteries, with no effect.  I even replaced the tailcap with another, which also didn't solve the problem.  I am planning on calling Surefire on Monday, but does anybody have any other troubleshooting suggestions I could try before speaking to them?

Thanks

Doesn't the Milllennium head have a shock isolated bezel?  That could be your problem.  You could be getting intermittent contact under recoil.  Give SF a call.

I think mine does perhaps the spring is weak and allowing the batteries/lamp module to move too much

I'd slightly stretch the spring or use a conductive spacer between the batteries

I don't know what can be the problem but I just wanted to say that Surefire is one of the best companies to deal with when you have a problem.  They fix/replace everything with no question

Thanks for the advice guys.  I have no doubt that Surefire will make it right.  An a positive note, I have a backup 951 that works perfectly that I slapped on in the mean time.
