Haven't been able to get my hands on either one.
Does the T1 housing really "disappear" when looking down range.
I have one cheap truglo that is my only red dot and I was constantly trying to close one eye to get a decent sight picture.
The pro appears to have a larger sight picture but does T1 make up for that with a thin housing and more view outside of the housing?
If I don't need the cantilever mount for the pro on my 16" carbine then the price difference is significant.
Is the cantilever a good idea if i go with the pro?
I like the CR2032 battery for the T1 since 1/3N batteries would be harder to find in a pinch.
Does the two eyes open method these use take some getting used to cause I was having a heck of a time with the truglo but I'm not even sure I am supposed to use two eyes with the truglo(it came free with a rifle).

Any helpful input would be appreciated.

I've shot a friend's PRO and I've been using a T1 for quite a while.  I shoot with both eyes open and honestly, I didn't really notice the extra bulk of the PRO.  I suppose I would say the housing "disappears" on both in my opinion.

I have also used to have a Vortex SPARC and occasionally I would get annoyed by the large controls on the side of the optic, but during stress induced shooting even that didn't bother me.  If you really can't justify the cost of the T1 go with the PRO and if you don't like it, sell it...you'll probably get almost all of your money back out of it.

I have both, value for money il go with the PRO since the mount and spacer that comes with it is ok for me to use already, unlike with the T-1, either you have to buy a separate spacer (and make do with the non QD mount that came with it)or buy a separate LaRue mount which is around USD 100. If you still plan on buying another set of mounts, or the mounts that came with the PRO is not acceptable to you then i'd rather buy a T-1 instead. it also lighter and has longer battery life

Pro works fine with both eyes open shooting. Battery is not normal, but jeez.. how many years will it run on one? Buy one from midway and store it with the rifle. control are simple and quick, with the bonus of working great with night vision to boot.

Buy what you like though...

I am in the same boat. For the money I don't see the PRO being beat.

I've ran both, and when I use them I can't tell the difference.

For the weight/size factor only really comes into play when I'm playing around with them.

I'm going to have to agree with this, and I own a T1.

Not gonna lie, i was dead set on a PRO, figured i could save another 200 and get the T-1, if i got 6 i was thinking i could get 600 more and get an ACOG. Im just as lost as when i started

But then you think if I'm gonna spend that kind of cash I can buy a Pro and another rifle

Micros are the best size for a single dot reticle imo, and yes the T1 /H1 disappears when focused on target. Also at 200/300 the housing works like a peep sight almost allowing me to focus on the target more.

With both eyes open, the "sight picture" is the same and they both "disappear" the same. I have both the T1 and a CompM2 and just got back from shooting, while switching between them I noticed no difference, except for the weight.

Ordered a pro, 389.00 vs 648.00 was a huge factor but i like the flip up covers as well.
Maybe I will upgrade down the road but might as well try the lower cost unit first.
Thanks for the advice

Good choice.

I was going to get the Pro as well until I found a like new T1/ Larue mount combo for 600$ on EE.

ETA: The Larue mount for the Pro is another 150 plus shipping so thats how I justified it, and I really wanted the Micro as well.

I've never been bothered by the size of my Ml3. The pro is a good value, and comes with a decent mount. Least you didn't pay $500+ for an ml3 + $115 for a larue mount lol.

For me both pretty much disappear. I like both equally to be honest. Both have been good optics for me.
