Does anyone have any experience with the TLR 3? I just happened to see one earlier this week and ordered one for my wife's G22.

My TLR 1 has been excellent on my M&P so I have high expectations for this one

Look at the reviews on amazon and such. Many  have had them crack in way of the attachment jaws as they are made of plastic. They also use an odd battery.

I wouldn't call it an odd battery.  It uses a CR2, the same battery used in the vortex strikefire.  It is basically a smaller CR123a and easy to find.

Yes however the OP stated that he already has a tlr1 why have to keep spares of two types of batteries for you lights. It's an oddity in the light world. All the major companies base thier weapon lights of of 123's. Accessories are made for 123's. It's not a norm. I agree it maybe easy to find, but still not the norm.

I have 2 TLR3s. They offer a nice slim design, unfortunately they have a plastic clamp. One of mine broke, I sent it back and a new TLR3 was returned to me promptly. My theory is that cranking the clamp too tight makes the plastic overly brittle. I'm still using the TLR3, with reservation (and a gentle turn on the clamping screw). I wish Surefire made a weaponlight with similar profile, then it would be a no-brainer.
