I am considering this FF 2 pc. rail for my Bushy M4 style 16".  I read in one of these threads a while back that the underside of the rail itself did not match  the standard rail spec. It had a different cut or angle.  I would want to mount my EOTECH 552 half way between the flat top and the handguard but I don't want it to be unstable or uneven due to the rail base not matching.  Can anyone advise?

Thank you for your time.

The Eotech will mount to the top of a Troy handguard with no problems.

Thanks-- Even if the EOtech is halfway on each of the flat top and FF?

My 512 is mounted with the screw through the very front slot of the upper so the battery compartment is over the Troy rail and it works fine.  A friend of mine has his 511 mounted directly to the Troy rail and it works well for him.

I have one of the way and plan to mount my 552 the same as the above post.

That is how most people run their Eotech.

If you want military issue, there should be some coming out to be available to the public in a few weeks, derived from military trials of a Daniel Defense, ARMS, and KAC forward hand guard systems picked as having the best capabilities by the Spec Ops people. Maybe somone can post recent pics of them for you.

Rust4brains, etal, thanks.  That is my primary concern. Looks like what I want to do will work.

I have been given a KAC rail from a 20" a .mil buddy of mine extended as a gift for watching out for his family while he was in Iraq. (Of course I did not ask--he just knew I wanted an AR and kept bringing me pieces--mags, rails, vfgs. etc.)

I finally bought a Bushy M4 type last Nov.

I am not sure which one I have but it is dated 08/03. and is 2 piece full length.  Comes with a plastic package of various rail covers, a top/side rail section and a bottom rail section, and an aluminum piece that obviously goes near the reciever of the foream.  I hope I will figure it out when I get my 20" upper?!

If anyone can help--that would be great!

It's not nice to post about stolen military gear.

xenophobe: +1 I agree--his group bought there own stuff xcept for the old mags from practice.  He is not a civi gun person--just wanted the best he could get for whatever he does.
