I decided to start a thread about this trigger to make it easier for someone doing a search to find something about it.  I have TWO Tac-Con 241 triggers and a Tac-Con 3MR trigger, so I am a owner, not just a talker.  The 3MR had a one stage trigger in the normal 'fire' position of the selector switch, and in the rear position it had the "Auto reset" function.  The auto reset in the 3MR and the 241 does require a knack or technique to use.  The way you were trained before or the experience you had, may or may not help.  I think if you don't like it, you haven't shot it enough,  That auto reset function in the 241 now happens in 'Fire' position and the aft pointing position now has a good TWO STAGE trigger position for more precise shooting.  I did say good as opposed to 'great'.  It is good and I consider it to be on par with my Colt NM trigger, but with a lighter pull (The 241 around 4 pounds and my Colt around 6)  I also have Armalite and Ruger (452) two stage triggers that I would rate as great.
So the 3MR and the 241 are both modular, but the 241 has a more significant tail on the module and it requires more than just drop in.  You have to 'thread' the selector barrel thru the tail and that requires some patience and dexterity (Both in short supply with me) but hey five minutes and it is done.  Tac-Con suppled the ambidextrous selector with 4 different levers of varying length and thickness.
I installed one 241 on the Wife's AR Pistol and one on a new rifle.  I should have taken my Geissele fast fire trigger out of my Piston rifle and used it on the Pistol and installed the 241 on the piston.  Too late now, she has already eyed it.
I do think the price take ($408 to the mailbox) is very steep, but I did buy a second one after I already had the first one.  The 3MR is a great trigger and I could make good shots with the single stage trigger, but better shots with the 241's two stage position.
I have a variety of triggers to include the Geissele, Armalite and Ruger 452 trigger already mentioned I have two straight shoe CMC single stage triggers and more.
The 241 makes one rifle that much more versatile.
