Hey guys, brand new to the site and finally got my login info.

With all the types of slings out there and sling attachments, I'm having trouble on figuring out how to configure a tactical sling.  Basically I want the rifle to hang around my lower chest/waist and be easy to bring up.  Right now on my carbine I have a Troy duel QD swivel receiver between my receiver and castle nut, and a couple different QD swivels that I can mount anywhere on the quad rail.  I see a ton of single and double point tac slings out there but not much help on how to use one.

I'm told this is the place to find all the answers I need.

You can use the new magpul ms3 with qd swivels.  Or you can get a vickers or Vtac sling with a IWC 2 to 1 conversion on it.  Those are your best options if you want a convertible sling.

You're speaking Greek to be brother.  I see all the slings out there.  What would you recommend that has the best instructions for use?  My sling experience to this point has been using as a carry strap and NRA highpower for the last ten years.

I had the Magpul ASAP and RSA mounts and a sling with clips.  Seemed like the rifle just wanted to lay on its side.  Maybe I'm over thinking this.  I just don't want to experiment with $50 and $60 slings until I find one that works.  I guess I should check youtube or somewhere for videos on use.

I realize this may not be exactly what you're looking for, but I hope this helps.

I just got a couple Blue Force Gear Vickers Tac slings. I have them set up to go from 2 point to single point with just a couple of adapters. There are a couple videos on the Blue Force Gear site and plenty on youtube. Good luck!

ETA:  After I read this article, I chose the Blue Force Gear VCAS Vickers Combat Applications Sling with the Aluminum slider.

I use a Vtac padded sling, 2-1 triglide. Best option.
