| I am machining a lower and have conflicting information. On a drawing allegedly from Colt posted on the internet the center line spacing for the front and rear take down pins is shown as 6.375”. On a drawing purchased with “The Little Black Lower” it is shown as 6.347”. I don’t have an upper to measure. Can anyone tell me which one is correct? Thanks |
| Some Colts were made with large pivot pins (.315) while others have the standard (.250). This would change the center to center measurement. The distance between the holes center to center depends on the upper and lower you are trying to put together if you don't want to use an adapter companies sell (bushings and offset screw pins). I am not sure but .250 pivot pins are 6.375 +/- .002 apart if my memory is working correctly. |
