Stag lower & cmmg upper. The actual upper/lower will fit on eachother perfectly, and the holes align fine on the lower/upper but as soon as I push one takedown pin in, the other will not go in past like an 1/8th of an inch. It's not any specific pin either, I can put one in first and the other will be tight, then I could take it out, re-align and put the one that was going in tight, and it will go in freely and the other one will now go in tight. It is so tight that I have to take something and hammer the damn pin in into the upper and to get it out I have to take a small screw driver or something and push it out. I had a del-ton upper on this lower before and did not have these problems. Any ideas on what to do to fix this besides filing? |

If you can install/home the front take down pin in the upper, then have to use something to seat the rear take down pin home (lock the lower into place), the parts will mate in with time/use, and you may just have to use a nylon punch for the first few cleaning to open up the rifle. Again, if the pins will seat with the upper in place (read just can’t push the rear pin over by hand currently to lock the upper home), let the parts mate through use/live fire. If you start filing/grinding on the parts now, then as the parts do mate together, you will be posting back on how to retighten everything back up. |

I've actually had the upper for a few months now, and it's been apart a few times for cleaning and stuff. One thing I did forget to mention, is when I put the lower/upper on eachother with NO pins in it will align fine. But I noticed when I put the front take down pin in the upper the holes will no longer align perfectly in the rear. I can see just a tiny bit of metal from the upper is now above the holes from the lower. I do not know if this happens when I put the rear pin in first, I will check that when I get off work tonight. |
