Not what we used in the mid 90s. Machine gun targets had the angled silhouettes, but they were also different in the 90s. The print year marked at the bottom is 1980 something, but I can't look now because they're stashed in the back of my truck. Would you like a few of them jtb? I think I should be able to find a shipping tube that they'd fit in. |

About a month or so ago, there was a thread here about retro target sheets, and someone mentioned that there were two sizes with the same print (small and large). A friend gave me these a while back since he was going to throw them away. Around what time where they used? Are they still in use? Who used them (Army, Marines, Air Force, etc.)? Forgive the "modern" rifle in the photo. I needed something for scale. Thanks for any answers. http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc145/dieselpowrguy85/AR-15/102_4800.jpg http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc145/dieselpowrguy85/AR-15/102_4798.jpg In the upper right corner, is that a zeroing target? If so how does it work, and where can I print off something like that? Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

These guys have some zero and alternate "C" course qual targets.
I have used the "C" course targets from them and they are nice. Law Enforcement Targets Inc |

If anyone knows of a way to host PDF files easily I have the following you might find interesting:
M16A1 25M zeroing target (same one I used in the 1980s at Ft Dix and the East Haven Rifle Range). (I have the newer ones as well but they aren't 'Retro') The M16A1 Alt C qualification course for the 50' range (use indoors with .22 conversion kits). It has the same kind of targets as the OPs post and a target in the middle for zeroing (again it looks like the one in the upper right of the OP's photo). It's a NGB form dated '2 Jan 80' I also have the 'RA' version of the Alt C course which uses 2 different targets (they look like the pop-up targets). These I created using an original, but it's been reformatted for printing on 'standard' paper. I have it scaled for 50' use, 25y use (since most people don't have 25M ranges), and three versions for use at 25 meters. First 25M version uses targets similar to the OPs and prints on two landscape 8.5x11" sheets of paper. Second 25M version is the RA targets designed to print on four 11"x17" sheets of paper. This one has exactly the same sized targets as the original military one but needs the larger paper. Third is a scaled version of the second, it prints on four 8.5"x11" sheets of paper. The only difference with this one is the 50M & 100M targets are a little smaller than the official version (but the 6 moa target circle on them is the correct size) - all other targets keep the proper scaling. Figure just under 1GB of space needed. |
