I was fishing around in the spare parts bin and found a buffer that looks very similar to the ones in any Bushmaster, except that it is six inches long instead of the usual three.  I don't recall where I got it and am a little mystified as to its function compared with the buffers I am used to.

What is the application for this long buffer?

Sounds like a stardard AR/M16 buffer.

I may have been playing mix and match with stocks since the ban went away that I forgot what the standard buffer looks like.  Too many buffers, not enough time to process it all.

Glad it's Friday.
