Just finished my first year on Arfcom. I mostly lurk in the technical forums because I'm still in the "shut up, read, and learn" mode, but I do spend a lot of time in them. I'm even seriously considering starting my own build from scratch soon (or at least starting on gathering the parts). Anyway, I know a HELL of a lot more about my Bushmaster than I did this time last year, and I just wanted to say a general "thank you" to the site owners, staff, mods, and all the great people here.
Here's to the next 12 months and re-upping my Team membership.

Must post picture of Bushy My goal for my second year is to finally get around to setting up a photobucket account and posting pics here. My Bushy has kind of "evolved" in the last 12 months. It used to be an XM15 with the HBar, the stupid "AK-style" muzzle brake, A1-style upper, carbine length gas system and fixed stock. It now has an RRA A4 upper, with a middy gas system, light-weight profile 1:9 barrel, 4-rail free-float tube, flip up front and rear BUIS, a Surefire mounted on the side, a VFG, a 6-position collapsible stock, and a Primary Arms Aimpoint M3 clone. All this was done over the last 12 months based on things I've learned on Arfcom. BTW, Aimless, I've enjoyed watching the "evolution" of your avatar over the last 12 months as well. ETA: I was happily shocked at how much lighter my AR was once I got rid of the HBAR. I don't have the actual weight difference, but it was definitely noticeable. |
