I picked up my first one very much for the look more than anything, after trying it on a few different platforms I'm sold.

As I posted a couple days ago, all of my Geissele Black Friday items were delivered except the DDC ACH (due Monday). I made good use of the Mk4 and Maritime Bolt catch to update my build. I liked my black 9.5" Mk4 but the DDC version was too sweet to pass up.

Going to use some RIT tomorrow to possibly bring the Magpul FDE AFG and LaRue Index Clips a but closer to Coyote Brown. Or, I might just use a black AFG and black index clips (not pictured). Undecided.

Also picked up a SF OBC from Weapon Outfitters for a really good price. The RC2 is still in NFA Jail (only been 3 months). I may go visit it at the Shop/Shooting Range and test the set-up with the new bolt.

How are you and others liking the ambi posi snap safeties? I absolutely love mine. Bad levers were my favorite and I still love them, but these are ending up on all my new builds.

I grind approximately 2 coils of my selector springs when I use Posi-Snap safeties. You'll see what I mean when you get yours. Easy fix.

What upper and barrel nut is this?? I tried to do similar with hk upper/barrel nut but there was interference issues.

ETA I guess that's a maxim defense upper? Were you able to buy it separately?

Correct on Maxim Defense. You can use their upper and barrel nut with a standard AR barrel and a 416 handguard. Unfortunately they wouldn’t sell me the upper separately so I had to tear a complete one apart.

It takes me about 2 weeks to get shit from G(on a normal day) and I live 10 minutes down the road. I never buy shit from G when I'm in a hurry.

Good to know. I may revisit this project some day as the smr is my favorite handguard of all time, but the 416 is meh.
