ok.. my other thread got archived.. so here we are again. With pictures this time. I just got the uppers, lowers and handguards back from a local shop called Atwell Tactical. They did a great job of cerakoting them in Stainless Steel, Tungsten and Burnt Bronze. I think they look awesome!

Here is the complete pile of parts, all ready to start the build:

The list of parts (all x 3):

Detroit Gun Works stripped lowers (sequential s/n)
Spikes Tactical uppers
Spikes Tactical 16" chrome lined, 1:7" barrel, M4 LE
Midwest Industries Gen2 SS 15" handguard
Griffin Armament M4SD Flash Comp
VLTOR EMOD milspec stock
Magpul ASAP sling mount
Magpul MOE pistol grip
Magpul MBUS front and rear sights (gen 2)
Magpul B.A.D Lever
Magpul AFG2
Magpul MS3
Ranier Arms Raptor charging handle
Geissele SSA-E trigger
YHM low profile gas block
JoeBob BCG & gas tubes

whew... I think that is everything...

More to come...

The cerakote jobs look good, and the pile o' parts is awesome. Just curious - why are you building 3 exactly the same?

Because I can? ;-)

I just thought it would be cool since I started with three sequential lowers. I also already have a heavy barreled longer one.. and a 14.5". I also like having three that I could swap parts if needed for spares. ... but mainly.. because I can. LOL

Looks awesome bud. I'm thinking of cerakoting one of my recent builds Tungsten also. I'm going for a "Jack" clone look. Tungsten looks very close in color IMO. What do you think? How does it compare under normal lighting?

Wow looking sharp... I have twin boys and have thought about building up 2 identical ones modeled off one of my builds, but love this idea!  Slghtly different yet the same!  Totally dig it! Cant wait to see the assembled pics

I like that bronze color.  Also like the raptor charging handle. I have used them a few times but dont own one. I should get one.  Nice muzzle device choice as well. ;)  Now you need an M4SD suppressor

Hell, I could have bought three identical vehicles.  But then they would all be good for the same thing.  A main attraction of the AR system is that they are versatile because variations can be owned.  Three the same, sounds like more cents than sense.

Thanks Dana! Tungsten was my favorite coming into this build.. but I might like the Stainless the most now. I'm not sure.. I love all of them for different reasons.  The pics below are Stainless, Tungsten and Burnt Bronze.. in shaded daylight

Yeah... it almost gives it a steampunk look. I love the Raptor.. I think it is one of the best ambi designs out there. It just works from any angle. The muzzle device seemed to have the best balance of what I was looking for.. and being able to add a can later is a big bonus! I just need to get my trust set up.

Thanks! They did a good job on them. It did take about 3 weeks due to backlog and having to order the Tungsten.. but very happy with the results.

You mad bro?  I have plenty of others that give me the variety in utility purposes. I wanted to do something special with the sequential serial numbers, especially since you can't buy Detroit Gun Works anymore.
Wait.. why am I talking to a troll? Damnit.. you got me.
