| I have a large pin Colt upper that I would like to mate to a Colt large pin lower. Are the large pin lowers all pre-ban, mostly pre-ban or both? Where is the best place to find one? How much can I expect to pay? |

All large pin lowers are Pre-ban. So you would need to find a pre-ban rifle to mate to the upper you now have. The ATF has recently decided there is no such thing as a stripped pre-ban lower. If it's stripped and changes ownership it looses it's pre-ban status. Unless you're really attached to the lower you would be better off to sell it and buy a small pin upper then you could attach that to any post-ban rifle or pre-ban rifles other than Colt. |
