[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Tight barrel

So, Im working on my 6th build, using a Mega arms upper, and a BCM 14.5" middy barrel. I am trying to get the barrel into the upper, but its tight. Really tight. I have tried to lube it up, and I still am having issues getting it all the way in. Should I try to heat the receiver?

It sounds like something is way out of spec. You shouldn't have to heat the receiver to get the barrel in.

I'd measure the OD of the barrel extension and the ID of the receiver and see which one is the culprit.

If the socket and barrel extension are straight and you got that far without beating it then I am inclined to think you are ok.
To be on the safe side I would call Mega with your measurements.
