Any thoughts on using this for a precision rifle?  What pull weight do you recomend?  Anybody know if I need the large or small pins for installing in a Denny's Machined Lower?

this.

The 3lb is almost too light for any kind of fighting rifle.

Large pin is for some Colts but not all.

Thing is, this is just going to be a fun gun that I want to be able to shoot the hair off a gnats ass with, still think I should go with a 4lb?

I have two, one in a LR 260 and one that I just swapped from a .556 to a different build, I think they are both 4 lbs. I havn't put tons of round downrange with either, but with my vast (lack) of experience, I would definately say they are g2g

I was thinking a 3lb would be better for a target rifle too.  I currently own a few RRAs, and their trigger pulls are between 4 and 4.5 lbs.  How much difference does the 1lb or so make?

I've got a 4lb in my AR10 and it is awesome.  Very crisp and clean.

If this is a strictly target rifle, the 3lb might be something to consider, but I'm not exactly sure how much difference the 1lb would make.

I don't know if it was a mistake, but I put a over travel adjustment, and sear engagement adjusting screw in one of my timneys, has worked great so far, seems to take whatever creep (perceived or not) out, and if it doesn't work right I can always just take it out.
