so, i'm getting ready for my first build and I've decided to opt for a timney trigger. I've ordered a palmetto lower and will be putting in rra parts as well. I think i'm going to order the pieces individually, versus a lpk, and exclude the parts I don't need since i'll be using the timney. would these be the correct parts to omit? pretty sure its correct, but thought i'd double check with you all before ordering.
disconnector spring disconnector hammer spring hammer trigger spring trigger this is going to be a yote/wolf rifle and i'm wanting a 22-24 inch ss bull barrel. any suggestions there? any other tips/advice would be helpful. i'm totally green when it comes to ar's. thanks in advance! |

Why jag with all that? Pull out the complete trigger group, and drop in the Timney group. |
| You can find LPK's that omit the trigger group for you, usually that's cheaper than purchasing the parts separate. Also if this is going to be a hunting rifle with a 22"-24" bull, will you be packing this rifle? That can be a heavy setup, 16" is more common and will be just fine for most distances you would engage coyote at. |

I have not seen any lpk's that have the trigger group exluded, and I've looked at a bunch. where should I be looking for these kits?. and yes, I realize it'll be heavy. I packed a sendero for a long time and honestly don't mind it. I also don't hunt much w/out my eberlestock pack. that thing makes packing a rifle seem like a dream. to the poster asking "why a timney?" I've shot my buddy's bolt guns with timneys and was very impressed. I know they aren't ar's, but between shooting those and researching and watching/reading reviews on the ar versions, I haven't seen anything bad. I want a light/crisp trigger. i'm open to suggestions. |

I know it's out of stock, but this is the most common one you'll find online, there are other manufacturers however. LPK's are starting to trickle back into retailers now but you'll still need to jump on one when available as they still sell pretty fast.
Here. Looks like RRA has theirs too, at the bottom of the list. |

In stock at PSA. They have other options with different grips.
PSA LPK no FCG |

Why the Timney if I may ask? You ever use the Timney drop in? I have one in my SBR they are very NICE I prefer single stage triggers is part of the reason, would like to give a Geissele SD3G a run and probably will in one of my next builds but the Timney is hard to turn away from, short pull, crisp break and a bit cheaper it's a good choice OP. look into this LPK |
| I actually just ordered the rra lpk...about 10 minutes ago. found it for 49.99 @ joeboboutfitters.com. ordered the timney last night from botach tactical. they were the cheapest place I could find + free shipping. it's a ways done the road, but since i'll be using a pretty long/heavy barrel, I think i'm going to spring for a carbon fiber hand guard. |

The single stage and low trigger pull are two things I like about my Timney.

Let me know how the Botach thing goes I had an issue with them a long time ago hopefully they got things figured out |
